This annual Irish festival held in Butte aims to celebrate Gaelic culture in the region through language, music and dance. In addition, sports events include a scramble golf tournament and a 3.1mi (5k) fun run.

Held in the center of Butte, this annual festival has been held for over five years and features over 50 ice sculpting teams carving huge blocks of ice on the sidewalks of the city's uptown district. The event is open to the public and both adult and youth teams are welcome.

St. Patrick's Day

Butte, MT - renowned for a huge Irish population - has thousands of descendants from the Emerald Isles' listed in the local phone book. As a result, the city has one of the biggest St. Patrick Day celebrations outside of America's largest cities and indeed, Ireland itself. Activities on the day include a parade, dancing, musical entertainment and traditional Irish food and drink.
